Sr. Sales Operations Analyst

Job Objective:

 

The Sr. Sales Operations Analyst position is responsible for analyzing, assigning and optimizing our customers into sales roles and channels.  This position requires demonstrated analytical capabilities, master data management (MDM) experience and strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.  This is a unique and evolving role as Global Industrial is moving to a new Master Data Management (MDM) platform and implementing new processes to support business and customer needs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Territory Planning

•            Review all assigned accounts to analyze fit, market potential and current penetration

•            Develop, enhance and coordinate account clean-up process and account assignment process

•            Establish a clearly defined process to determine proper customer segmentation and when an account should be managed and by what role

•            Responsible for integrity of the account assignment process  including but not limited to  account package creation,  and assignment change approvals,

•            Support development of Global Industrial’s go-to-market strategy, defining sales roles in conjunction with Sales Leadership.

•            Develop and coordinate sales territories and assignments with Sales Leadership.

Master Data Management

•            Support development of a mature data stewardship process that feeds new attribute values out to internal CRM system

•            Support MDM governance and stewardship rules in Semarchy and CRM

•            Responsible for understanding the end-to-end processes for maintaining customer master data in Semarchy across all business functions

•            Assists in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners

•            Responsible for recommending and coordinating any improvements to our CRM and MDM systems regarding territory assignment and data governance

 

Qualifications:

 

•            Working knowledge of relational databases, data concepts, and design

•            Experience with MDM data and solutions platform such as Semarchy, Informatica, or Relio preferred

•            Strong numerical analytical ability and good background in technology

•            Ability to develop and improve processes

•            Ability to organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints is required.

•            Experienced in CRM, strong knowledge of sales principles and practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

•            Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel

•            Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities

•            Industrial supplies and/or B2B sales experience a plus

•            Bachelor’s degree
