Key Responsibilities

The Senior Learning Specialist will work with leadership assessing employee training needs, developing and delivering training as well as coordinating the delivery of training from other sources. The individual will participate in the identification of organizational training standards, development of courseware and curriculum, as well as career pathing recommendations and other sales development initiatives.
Responsibilities
•    Develops and designs training needs analyses to ensure appropriate training continuum of learning programs along with related materials
•    Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, new hire training, etc.
•    Designs and administers specific compliance, leadership and soft skill training programs and delivery methodologies for a diverse employee base. Creates design documents that specify learning objectives, measures student learning, learning materials, design specifications and learning impact (e.g. business results)
•    Develops and designs teaching outlines and develops effective methods for performance improvement using coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations and workshops
•    Oversees the design process ensuring all training documentation is compliant with company standards
•    Consults with leaders, managers, supervisors and employees to develop programs to meet emerging business needs
•    Develops and organizes manuals, testing, evaluation and other educational materials
•    Selects and modifies existing instructional materials as well as develop new instructional materials
•    Interfaces and creates with vendors on supplemental training modules
Essential Functions
•    Interacts with multiple levels within the company and external contacts, such as vendors. Must be able to influence others in acceptance/approval or technical clarification.
•    Evaluates business initiatives to determine the appropriate organizational effectiveness.
•    Assists in developing procedures for data file formatting, data analysis methodologies, and management reporting.
•    Assists management in developing effective strategic planning outcomes assessment techniques.
•    Provides feedback/coaching to leaders on organizational & sales growth.
•    Aligns performance management program and performance metrics with key organizational goals.
•    Acts as a change agent providing the support and mechanism to implement major changes to the operations of the business.
•    Coordination and planning for training sessions.
•    Evaluates software and hardware tools and may advise and assist in the selection and installment of tools.
•    Plans and schedules project timelines and deadlines.
•    Creates or provides input to individual development plans for associates based on skills and gap analysis.
•    Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
•    Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Competencies and skills

•    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university within area of assigned responsibility; and two to four years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Minimum of six years in a Training Experience in task analysis. GAP analysis, instructional design, developing learning programs and materials.
•    Good organizer, meticulous, and good public speaker at ease moderating large groups.
